The ABB S202-Z10 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker in the System pro M compact series, rated 10 A with Trip Curve Z and a 6 kA interrupting capacity at 277 VAC. It snaps onto DIN rail for panel integration.
What Trip Curve Z means for your circuit
Trip Curve Z provides the shortest magnetic trip delay of the standard curves, typically tripping within 2–3× rated current. This makes the S202-Z10 suited for protecting semiconductor devices, sensitive electronics, and control transformers where even brief overcurrents can damage components. It is not the general-purpose choice for motor or distribution branch circuits — those call for Curve C or D. The 10 A continuous rating and 6 kA interrupting rating at 277 VAC mean it clears faults up to 6,000 A on a 277 V line-to-neutral circuit, common in 480Y/277 V commercial panels.
