The ABB S202M-C25 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker from the S200M series, rated 25 A with a Trip Curve C characteristic. The 25 A rating means it protects circuits drawing up to that continuous current; the Curve C trip characteristic (5–10× In) handles moderate inrush from motor starters, contactor coils, and small transformers without nuisance tripping — typical for mixed resistive-inductive loads in a panel. Interrupting capacity is 6 kA at 277 VAC and 10 kA at 125 VDC, sufficient for most commercial and light industrial fault levels where the available short-circuit current stays within those limits.
The 3-pole sibling S203M-C50 shares the same S200M platform, Curve C, and interrupting ratings but doubles the current to 50 A and adds a third pole. The S202M-C25 drops into a 2-pole DIN footprint; swapping to the 3-pole variant requires an extra module width and a higher ampacity circuit.
Snap-on DIN rail mount fits standard 35 mm top-hat rail in enclosures and sub-panels. The 2-pole width (36 mm) leaves room for adjacent breakers or auxiliary contact blocks in a crowded gland plate layout.
