The S202MUC-B13: Trip Curve B means the magnetic trip operates at 3 to 5 times the rated current — here, 39 to 65 A. That's the standard choice for resistive loads and general-purpose branch circuits where inrush is low (lighting, heaters, control transformers). For motor or drive feeds with higher inrush, a Curve C or D would be a better fit; this one's designed to hold through the brief surge of a resistive load, not a motor start.
DC rating and panel integration
The 500 VDC rating with 10 kA interrupting capacity is notable — many 2-pole MCBs in this footprint top out at 125 VDC. That makes the S202MUC-B13 usable in DC sub-distribution boards, solar combiner boxes, or battery-bank branch protection where the string voltage exceeds 250 VDC. On the AC side, 277 VAC matches the line-to-neutral voltage of a 480Y/277 V wye system, so it slots into commercial lighting panels or PDU tap-offs.
