The S203-D63 is a 63 A, 3-pole miniature circuit breaker with a Trip Curve D characteristic, rated for 480Y/277 VAC and a 10 kA interrupting capacity. Curve D means the magnetic trip operates at 10 to 20 times the rated current — designed for loads with high inrush, like motor starters, transformers, or welding equipment. The 10 kA SCCR at 277 V phase-to-neutral tells you it can safely clear a fault up to that level without upstream damage, which matters for panel coordination studies. Mounts on standard DIN rail, so it drops into any 35 mm rail enclosure.
