What the ratings mean for fit
The ABB S203-Z25 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 25 A continuous with a Trip Curve Z characteristic — that means it trips magnetically at 2 to 3 times rated current, fast enough to protect semiconductor rectifiers, thyristor stacks, and sensitive electronic loads that cannot tolerate the higher magnetic thresholds of a B or C curve. The 10 kA interrupting rating at 277 VAC line-to-neutral (480Y/277 VAC system) tells you it can safely clear a bolted fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream. On a 480Y/277 VAC wye secondary, each pole sees 277 V to ground; the breaker is rated for that full phase-to-neutral voltage. The DIN-rail mounting footprint matches standard 35 mm rail in any enclosure — snap it in alongside the rest of the panel distribution. Three poles cover a three-phase line or three independent single-phase circuits ganged on one handle.
