What the ratings mean for fit
The ABB S203P-K25 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 25 A continuous per pole at 277 VAC. The Trip Curve K means the magnetic trip is set to activate between 8 and 12 times the rated current — designed for loads with high inrush, such as motors, transformers, and solenoid valves, where a standard B or C curve would nuisance-trip on startup. The 10 kA interrupting rating at 277 VAC tells you it can safely clear a fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream — adequate for most commercial and light industrial panelboards fed from a transformer of similar kA rating. DIN-rail mounting means it clips directly onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail inside an enclosure — no separate base or adapter needed. The 3-pole construction handles three-phase circuits (L1, L2, L3) or three independent single-phase legs in a single housing.
