32 A K-Curve MCB for Motor Branch Circuits
The ABB S203P-K32 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 32 A with a K-curve trip characteristic, designed for motor branch circuits and inductive loads where inrush currents exceed those of resistive circuits. The K-curve trips magnetically between 8 and 12 times rated current, so it holds through motor starting surges but clears a hard fault fast. At 277 VAC line-to-neutral (480 VAC line-to-line), the interrupting rating is 10 kA — sufficient for most commercial and light industrial panelboards.
DIN Rail Integration
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. Three-pole width occupies 3 modular units (52.5 mm). Line and load terminals accept up to 25 mm² conductors; torque to 2.5 Nm. For panel builders: the K-curve means this breaker coordinates with downstream contactors and overload relays on motor starters without nuisance tripping on inrush.
