What the ratings mean for fit
The S203P-K50 is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 50 A continuous at 277 VAC. The Trip Curve K characteristic means it's built for motor and transformer loads — the magnetic trip kicks in at 8-14x rated current, fast enough to catch a locked rotor without nuisance-tripping on startup inrush. At 10 kA interrupting capacity, it safely clears a short-circuit fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading upstream.
Where it goes in the panel
Snaps onto standard DIN rail — no screws, no bracket. Three poles in a single module width, so it fits a 3-phase motor branch circuit or a three-phase distribution subfeed. The 277 VAC phase-to-neutral rating makes it right for 480Y/277 V panels common in North American commercial and light industrial gear.
