On a 277 V AC line (phase-to-neutral in a 480Y/277 V system), the 10 kA interrupting rating means it can safely clear a fault up to 10,000 A without welding contacts or cascading upstream. That's standard for most commercial panelboards; if your available fault current exceeds 10 kA, you'll need a current-limiting upstream breaker or a higher-rated device.
Snap-on DIN rail mount, standard 35 mm profile. Spring-cage or screw terminals depending on the variant — this order code is the screw-terminal version. Strip length 10–12 mm, torque to 2.0–2.5 Nm. No auxiliary contact slot on the base unit; if you need alarm or status feedback, add the S2C-A1 or S2C-A2 side-mount auxiliary block.
