The S271-K20: Curve K trips magnetically between 8 and 12 times rated current, which means a 20 A breaker holds through the 160–240 A peak during motor start and clears a hard short downstream without waiting for the thermal element.
Panel fit and DIN-rail integration
The 1-pole form factor protects a single phase or a 24 VDC control circuit; for three-phase motor branches you stack three units with a busbar link and a common trip accessory.
