What this part is and what the ratings mean
The ABB S801S-C100 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker from the S800S series, rated 100 A at 230 VAC with a Trip Curve C characteristic. The 100 A rating means it carries continuous resistive or motor loads up to that current in a 40 °C ambient, and the Curve C trip (5–10x In) handles moderate inrush from small motors or transformers without nuisance tripping on startup. The 50 kA interrupting capacity at 230 VAC tells you this breaker safely clears a fault up to that level — useful where the available fault current at the panel is high, such as close to a step-down transformer. It snaps onto standard DIN rail, so it integrates into a panel alongside other S800S units or any DIN-rail mounted gear.
