What the Z-curve means for fit
The Z-curve is the key selection parameter here. Most MCBs in a panel are B- or C-curve for general distribution or motor circuits. The Z-curve sits between B and the ultra-sensitive K-curve, making it the right choice when the downstream load has a low short-circuit current tolerance — think PLC power supplies, instrumentation loops, or 24 VDC control transformers. It meets the load where it is without over-protecting and causing coordination headaches upstream.
