The ABB S802S-B20 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 20 A with Trip Curve B characteristics, designed for 230 VAC circuits and delivering a 50 kA interrupting rating.
The 20 A continuous rating and Trip Curve B mean this breaker trips instantaneously at 3–5× rated current (60–100 A), which is the standard protection for resistive loads and general-purpose circuits where inrush is low — lighting, small heaters, control transformers. The 50 kA interrupting capacity at 230 VAC gives substantial fault-current headroom for high-capacity distribution boards, so it can be used downstream of a larger main breaker without worrying about cascading failure.
Panel integration
Snaps onto DIN rail per EN 60715. The 2-pole body occupies two 18 mm module spaces. Wire termination accepts up to 35 mm² conductors; torque the terminals to the value marked on the housing side.
