What this breaker is and what the ratings mean
The ABB S802S-C25 is a 2-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 25 A with a C-trip curve. It mounts on a standard DIN rail and carries a 50 kA interrupting capacity at 230 VAC — that's the fault current it can safely clear without welding its contacts or rupturing the case. In a real panel, that 50 kA rating means it can sit downstream of a transformer or a high-capacity main breaker without needing a current-limiting upstream device to protect it. The C-curve trips between 5 and 10 times rated current, so it handles the inrush of motor starters, small transformers, and lighting ballasts without nuisance tripping. For a 25 A branch feeding a pump or a small conveyor, that's the right characteristic.
