ABB SH201-C16 — 1-pole C-curve MCB, 16 A, 230 V
The ABB SH201-C16 is a 1-pole C-curve miniature circuit breaker rated 16 A at 230 V, mounted on DIN rail. This is the core overcurrent protection device for a single-phase branch circuit in a distribution board — the C-curve trips between 5× and 10× In, so it handles moderate inrush from motor starters or lighting ballasts without nuisance trips while still clearing short circuits fast. The 16 A rating covers a 3.7 kW resistive load at 230 V or a 2.2 kW motor branch if the starting current fits the curve. Single-pole means it breaks only the line conductor; neutral is continuous through the busbar.
Integration — DIN rail and panel fit
The SH201-C16 snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. Single-pole width is roughly 17.5 mm (one module). In a distribution board, it occupies one position on the rail; the busbar clips into the line-side terminal and the load-side terminal accepts up to 25 mm² conductor. The C-curve and 16 A rating match the standard final-circuit protection for socket outlets and fixed equipment in residential or light commercial panels.
