What it is and where it fits
The ABB SH201-C6 is a 1-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) from the SH201 series, rated C-curve 16 A at 230 V. It snaps onto a standard DIN rail inside a distribution board or control panel — the sort of part you grab when a lighting or general-purpose branch circuit needs overcurrent protection and the BOM calls for a single-pole C16.
What the C-curve 16 A rating means on the van
C-curve means the magnetic trip fires at 5 to 10 times rated current — so 80 to 160 A fault current trips it instantaneously. That suits it for mixed resistive and moderate inductive loads (lighting banks, small motor circuits, control transformers) where you don't want nuisance tripping from inrush. The 16 A thermal element handles continuous loads up to that rating; anything sustained above it heats the bimetal and opens the circuit. On a DIN rail, one module wide, it replaces a blown unit or slots into a new distribution board without reworking the busbar arrangement.
