The Eaton TA25DU11-20 is a thermal bi-metallic overload relay in the A-Line series, rated for 11 A with an adjustable range of 7.5 to 11 A. It is a 3-pole NEMA type device, Trip Class 20, with selectable manual or automatic reset. Designed for use with A/AE/AL9 through A/AE/AL40 frame contactors in the same series.
The 7.5-11 A adjustable range means this relay protects motors drawing between those full-load amps. Trip Class 20 allows up to 20 seconds at 600% of set current before tripping — standard for general-purpose induction motors starting under load (conveyors, pumps, compressors). The 3-pole design interrupts all three phases on a fault, which is the expected configuration for three-phase motor circuits in North American and IEC panels. Selectable manual or automatic reset gives the panel builder flexibility: manual reset for unattended or remote installations where automatic restart after a trip could be a safety concern, automatic for processes that need to self-recover after a momentary overload.
This overload relay mounts directly to A-Line contactors in motor control centers or standalone enclosures. It is sized for motor circuits up to 11 A full-load current — common for fractional to small integral-horsepower three-phase motors on conveyor drives, fan starters, and pump panels. The NEMA type designation means it follows North American dimensional and performance standards, so it fits existing NEMA starter layouts.
