Limit switches are electromechanical position sensors used to detect the presence, absence, or end-of-travel position of an object in industrial machinery, conveyors, and process equipment. Common sub-types include subminiature, heavy-duty, safety interlock, sealed/IP67, snap-action, and slow-make/slow-break versions with plunger, roller, lever, or whisker actuators.
