The OMRON E2E-X10C230 2M is a current-production M30 shielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series, delivering a 10mm sensing distance with NPN normally-closed output over a 2m prewired cable. Rated IP67, IP67G, and IP69K, it withstands high-pressure washdown and hot-water sanitization, making it a fit for food, beverage, and washdown environments. Operating on 10–30 VDC with a maximum load of 200 mA, the NC output is fail-safe – opens when the target is present, suitable for safety interlocks or conveyor jam detection.

The 10mm sensing distance is the maximum for a shielded M30 – install flush in metal without derating. The shielded design concentrates the field forward, reducing false triggering from side metal. Prox3 hybrid circuitry with Thermal Distance Control maintains stable sensing across ambient swings and self-heating. Quick Recovery after an overload event means the sensor resumes normal operation without a power cycle. Nickel-plated brass body and oil-resistant cable provide chemical resistance for coolants and cutting fluids. The toothed washer included prevents rotation under vibration.
