What you're getting with this E2E NEXT sensor
Omron's E2E-X10MC112-M1TJR 0.3M is an M12 unshielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series. It's built to detect metallic objects at up to 10 mm, and it's a short-body sensor that fits tight spaces. Rated IP67, IP67G, and IP69K, this sensor seals out dust, temporary immersion, and high-pressure washdown – exactly what you need on a packaging line or a washdown station. The IP69K rating means it can take hot water at high pressure without fogging up. Output is NPN normally open, running on a 3-wire DC supply (10 to 30 VDC). That's the standard for a lot of Asian-built PLCs and controllers. If your machine expects PNP or a different switching logic, you'll need to swap the sensor or add a converter.
Mounting and wiring – what to watch
The 0.3 m pigtail comes with an M12 Smartclick connector – it's a robot cable, so it's bend-resistant. That matters when you're routing through cable carriers or around moving joints. The unshielded design gives you the 10 mm range, but you'll need a non-metallic clearance around the sensor face – no flush mounting in metal. Nickel-plated brass housing with PBT sensing face. Short body: 47.1 mm length, 26 mm thread, two-nut mount.
