What this sensor is
The Omron E2E-X10Y1-US is a shielded M30 inductive proximity sensor from the established E2E series. It uses a 2-wire AC output (NO contact) and delivers 10 mm sensing distance on ferrous metals.
Where it fits
Rated for 20–264 V AC supply, so it runs directly off line voltage without a dedicated DC supply. The nickel-plated brass body and IP67 sealing let it survive cutting oil washdown and high-pressure cleaning in machine tool or chemical process environments. Temperature span from –40 to 185°F covers both heated process areas and cold storage facilities; the cable protector and built-in indicator light simplify maintenance checks.
