The Omron E2E-X16MB2L12 2M is an M12 unshielded proximity sensor with a 16 mm sensing range, normally-closed PNP output, and IP69K ingress protection. It runs on 10–30 VDC, 3-wire DC supply, and comes terminated with a 2 m PVC cable. The nickel-plated brass barrel with PBT sensing face handles washdown environments — IP69K covers high-pressure hot water, while the IP67G rating adds oil resistance. At 69.1 mm overall length with M12 threads, it slots into standard M12 tapped holes or bracket mounts.
How it compares to siblings
The closest functional peer is the E2E-X16MB1DL18 2M — same 16 mm sensing range, same unshielded PNP output, but in an M18 body with NO (normally-open) switching and no IP69K. If your panel is drilled for M12, this part fits without adapter; the M18 version needs a larger hole. The E2E-X10MB1DL12 2M is also a direct M12 body but with a shorter 10 mm range and NO output — useful if you need less reach and normally-open logic. For NPN systems, the E2E-X16MC2L18 5M matches the NC operation but uses NPN in an M18 barrel with a 5 m cable.
