OEM Integration Brief
The Omron E2E-X1R5B28-M5 is a shielded M8 proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series. It carries IP67 and IP69K ingress protection ratings, making it suitable for washdown environments. The sensing distance is 1.5 mm, adequate for small target detection in confined spaces. Output is PNP normally closed with a 3-wire DC configuration, operating on 10 to 30 VDC. Connection is via an M8 3-pin connector. The case is stainless steel (SUS303) with a polybutylene terephthalate sensing face.
Environmental and Mounting Notes
The IP69K and IP67 ratings cover washdown and temporary immersion; the short body (39 mm overall, 22 mm threaded) fits tight spaces. Shielded construction allows flush mounting, supply voltage is 10-30 VDC, and connection is M8 3-pin.
