The E2E-X2C212 2M is an M12 shielded inductive proximity sensor delivering a 2 mm sensing distance on ferrous targets. It uses an NPN normally-closed output, operating on 10–30 V DC. The prewired 2 m cable terminates in bare wires, simplifying connection to a PLC input card or DIN-rail terminal block. For a normally-closed (NC) sensor, the signal is present (high) when no target is present, dropping low when metal enters the detection zone. This makes it a natural fit for broken-wire detection or low-level safety interlock circuits in automated fill or CIP systems.
Mounting & washdown fit
Rated IP67/IP67G/IP69K, the sensor withstands high-pressure washdown and oil exposure typical of CIP zones. The nickel-plated brass body and oil-resistant cable resist corrosion and degradation in wet environments. Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal panels; the M12 thread fastens with the included clamping nut and toothed washer for a vibration-free installation. The brass body is tough enough for repeated hose-down cycles.
