What it is and where it fits
This Omron E2E-X5C118 2M is an M18 shielded inductive proximity sensor from the current E2E NEXT series. It delivers 5 mm sensing distance, NPN normally-open output, and runs on 10–30 VDC — a standard ingredient for detecting metal targets in automated lines, conveyor systems, and packaging machinery. The 2 m pre-wired cable with bare ends gets it into a junction box quickly. This sensor carries IP67, IP67G, and IP69K ratings for washdown environments. The nickel-plated brass body and included toothed washer resist corrosion under high-pressure cleaning.
