The Omron E2E-X5MC112 2M is a cylindrical M12 unshielded inductive proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT generation. Sensing distance is 5 mm (unshielded), output is NPN normally-open, rated for 10–30 VDC and 200 mA load. The prewired 2 m cable with bare wire ends simplifies field installation.

IP69K and IP67G cover high-pressure washdown and oil-resistant environments – the sensor survives in a packaging line that gets steamed and sprayed with cutting oil. The IP67G suffix means it passed a grease-resistance test, not just water ingress. Unshielded construction gives a 5 mm range but requires a non-flush mounting: the active face needs to be clear of any metal behind it.
