E2K-C25MY2-US – 34 mm Capacitive Sensor with Adjustable Sensitivity
Smooth-barrel 34 mm capacitive sensor from Omron's E2K series, designed for non-contact detection of materials through non-metallic walls or bins. Adjustable sensitivity lets you set the range for specific targets — wood, plastic, liquid, grain. Unshielded construction: requires free space around the sensing face; cannot be mounted flush into metal. Wired normally closed, 2-wire AC, 100–220 VAC, with 2 m PVC cable. Drops into existing NC loops without rewiring. Mounting via bracket with 34 mm opening or sensor well. No threading — smooth barrel needs a clamp or compression fitting.
E2K-X8MY2 – Not a Mechanical Drop-In
The E2K-X8MY2 shares the same 2-wire AC NC output and supply voltage, but comes in an M18 threaded body with an 80 mm length and 40 mm threaded section. Electrical swap is straightforward — same wiring — but mechanical fit is incompatible. The 34 mm sensor needs a 34 mm opening; the M18 needs 18 mm. No adapter.
