The Schneider Electric A9D41606 is an Acti9 iDPN Vigi RCBO — a combined overcurrent and residual-current device in a 1P+N format, rated 6 A with a C-curve trip characteristic and 300 mA earth-leakage sensitivity.
The 6 A rated current (In) and C-curve (magnetic trip at 5–10× In) mean this RCBO protects a final subcircuit with moderate inrush — typical for lighting banks, small appliances, or control transformers where the start-up surge is higher than a B-curve would tolerate but not as high as a D-curve demands. The 6 kA Icn at 230–240 V AC, 50 Hz, conforming to EN/IEC 61009-2-1, is the short-circuit breaking capacity; it safely clears a fault up to that level. For installations where the prospective short-circuit current exceeds 6 kA, this unit requires an upstream current-limiting device. The integrated 300 mA residual-current element provides earth-leakage protection for the outgoing circuit — not personnel protection (that calls for 30 mA), but fire-prevention or equipment-level protection where a higher threshold is acceptable. The 1P+N format switches the phase and breaks the neutral, with the neutral on the left side of the module.
The connection pitch between phase and neutral is 9 mm, matching the standard modular grid. Terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible (with or without ferrule); tighten to 2 N·m. Strip length 15 mm.
