It protects a single phase against overload, short-circuit, and earth leakage from a single DIN-rail footprint. Rated 10 A at 30 °C with a 6 kA breaking capacity (Icn at 230/240 V AC, 50 Hz), it is sized for final subcircuits in residential and commercial distribution boards where both overcurrent and earth-leakage protection are required on the same outgoing way.
The 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity provides additional protection against indirect contact and fire risk from earth faults — standard for socket-outlet circuits and wet-area final subcircuits in most IEC-based installations. The C-curve magnetic trip (5–10 × In) suits loads with moderate inrush, such as lighting banks, small appliances, and general-purpose socket circuits. The 6 kA breaking capacity is the standard domestic/commercial rating under IEC 61009-1; it is adequate for most final subcircuits fed by a transformer or a main switchboard with a prospective fault current below 6 kA. For higher fault levels, a current-limiting upstream MCB or fuse would be needed. Integrated earth-leakage protection means this RCBO replaces two separate devices (MCB + RCCB) in one 18 mm wide module, saving two DIN-rail pitches per way. The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides the overcurrent protection; the residual current coil handles the earth-leakage function.
The 18 mm width occupies two 9 mm pitches, matching the Acti9 modular system for clean row alignment. IP20 finger-safe terminals suit installation inside a locked or tool-accessible enclosure. The tunnel-type terminals accept up to 16 mm² rigid upstream and 10 mm² downstream, covering standard 1.5–6 mm² final subcircuit wiring. Strip length is 13 mm upstream, 11 mm downstream.
