The BMI0702T06A is a single-phase servo motor from the BMI series, delivering 2.48 N·m continuous stall torque across the full 115–230 V supply range. That's the figure to use for sizing a continuous-duty load — the motor can hold that torque indefinitely at standstill without exceeding thermal limits. Peak stall torque reaches 6.6 N·m for short bursts up to 1 second at 230 V (10.5 A peak current), defining the acceleration headroom. The torque constant is 0.63 N·m/A measured at 68 °F (20 °C), so every ampere of RMS current produces 0.63 N·m of torque at that temperature. Stator resistance sits at 2.7 Ohm and inductance at 7.8 mH, both at 20 °C — these govern the motor's electrical time constant and the drive's current regulator tuning. Back EMF constant is 42.1 V/krpm at 20 °C; use it to calculate the bus voltage needed to reach a given speed. Supply voltage limits are 100…240 V single phase, 50/60 Hz with a ±5 % tolerance on frequency. Nominal output power and speed differ by voltage: 700 W at 4000 rpm on 230 V, 400 W at 1700 rpm on 115 V. The continuous stall torque remains the same regardless, so the motor is wound for constant torque over voltage but varying power.
Mounting, feedback, and protection
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 2.8 in (70 mm) flange size and a 2.4 in (60 mm) centring collar depth of 0.10 in (2.5 mm). Shaft diameter is 0.4 in (11 mm) with a 0.9 in (23 mm) shaft length, untapped and without a second shaft end. Overall length is 10.6 in (268 mm). Mounting holes are 0.2 in (5.5 mm) diameter; maximum radial force is 710 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 390 N at 6000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 0.2 times the radial force. Cooling is natural convection, so no forced airflow is required. The housing carries IP65 protection; the shaft end is rated IP54. Electrical connection is via a printed circuit board connector. Integrated EMC filter is built in, simplifying panel wiring for conducted emissions.
