What this frame is — and what it isn't
The C063H4FM is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NS630bH new generation basic frame — a 4-pole, fixed-mount, manually operated circuit breaker frame rated 630 A at 50 °C. It carries a 70 kA Icu at 415 V AC (85 kA at 240 V, 42 kA at 690 V) and is built to IEC 60947-2 (Category B, pollution degree 3). The key distinction: this is the bare frame only, without a protection control unit or any integral trip module. You spec the trip unit separately to match your distribution or motor protection curve.
At 690 V AC the Icu drops to 42 kA, with Ics at 30 kA. For selectivity studies, the rated short-time withstand current (Icw) is 19.2 kA for 1 second — enough to coordinate with downstream breakers in a distribution panel.
Fixed-mount on a backplate (connection pitch 70 mm). Dimensions: 280 mm wide, 224 mm high, 147 mm deep. IP40 front face protection (IK07 impact resistance) suits it for indoor panel installation where dust ingress is limited. The front face is Class II shock-protected.
