What this 630 A MCCB delivers
The Schneider Electric C063L420FM is a ComPacT NS new generation 4-pole moulded-case circuit breaker rated 630 A at 50 °C, fitted with a MicroLogic 2.0 electronic trip unit providing L (long-time overload) and I (instantaneous short-circuit) protection per EN/IEC 60947-2. The electronic trip unit includes a 20-minute thermal memory, so the breaker remembers prior heating and shortens the trip time on a reclose — relevant for motor-starting or repetitive overload applications where nuisance tripping needs to be avoided.
Fixed mounting on a backplate. The 280 mm width, 327 mm height, and 147 mm depth define the enclosure cutout and clearance for front-connection cabling. Connection pitch is 70 mm. IK07 impact rating confirms it withstands a 2 J impact, typical for switchgear enclosures.
Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability varies by load: 2,000 cycles at 690 V at rated current, 3,000 cycles at 690 V at half-rated current, 3,000 cycles at 440 V at rated current, and 4,000 cycles at 440 V at half-rated current. These figures govern the breaker's service life in a given application — a motor-starting duty with frequent switching will wear the contacts faster than a simple distribution feeder.
