800 A molded-case breaker with energy metering
The Schneider Electric C080H32EFM is a 3-pole ComPacT NS new generation molded-case circuit breaker rated 800 A at 50 °C, fitted with a MicroLogic 2.0 E electronic trip unit. The 'E' designation means the trip unit includes an energy meter — useful for submetering a distribution panel without adding a separate power meter. Breaking capacity is 70 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC (50/60 Hz) per IEC 60947-2, which is the H breaking capacity code for this frame size. That puts it in the high-interrupting class for 415 V distribution, suitable for main or large feeder breakers where fault current runs high.
If your panel runs hotter, derate per the manufacturer's curve. The MicroLogic 2.0 E provides L (long-time overload) and I (instantaneous short-circuit) protection — no ground-fault element on this variant. The electronic trip unit adds thermal memory (20 minutes), so the breaker remembers prior heating and shortens the trip time on repeated overloads, which matters for motor or cyclic loads. The LCD display on the trip unit shows current, energy, and alarm data locally.
Mounting support is a backplate — the breaker bolts to a panel backplate, not a DIN rail. Dimensions are 327 mm high, 210 mm wide, 147 mm deep, with a 70 mm connection pitch between poles.
