The Schneider Electric C100H450FM is a ComPacT NS new generation 4-pole fixed-mounted moulded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) carrying a MicroLogic 5.0 electronic trip unit rated 1000 A at 50 °C. It is a manually operated distribution breaker built to EN/IEC 60947-2, Category B (full selectivity capable). The H breaking capacity code means 85 kA Icu at 220/240 V AC, 70 kA at 380/415 V, and 42 kA at 660/690 V — figures that govern fault-clearing at the main or feeder level in a 50/60 Hz network.
The MicroLogic 5.0 provides LSI protection: long-time overload (L), short-time short-circuit (S) with adjustable delay for zone-selective interlocking, and instantaneous (I). The electronic trip unit draws 22 W power loss and maintains a 20-minute thermal memory so re-closing on a hot breaker sees the correct thermal state. Four red LEDs signal fault type; a yellow LED flags overload. No earth-leakage protection is integrated — that would require a separate Vigi module.
Mounting and enclosure fit
Fixed-mount on a backplate, 327 mm high × 280 mm wide × 147 mm deep, with front connection both top and bottom. IP40 enclosure protection and IK07 impact resistance suit indoor switchboard installation; pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-2 covers the typical factory-floor environment. Neutral is on the left.
