What this frame is — and what it isn't
The Schneider Electric C100H4WM is a ComPacT NS1000H basic frame — a 4-pole, withdrawable, manually operated circuit breaker frame rated 1000 A at 50 °C. It's a bare frame: no trip unit, no protection module. You pair it with a compatible control unit (sold separately) to set the protection curve. Rated 70 kA Icu at 415 V AC, 50/60 Hz, per IEC 60947-2.
Breaking capacity — what it handles on the line
This frame can interrupt 85 kA at 240 V AC, 70 kA at 415 V AC, 65 kA at 440 V, 50 kA at 525 V, and 42 kA at 690 V. The service breaking capacity (Ics) at 415 V is 52 kA — that's the level it can clear and still be used again without inspection. The rated short-time withstand (Icw) is 19.2 kA for 1 second, enough for selective coordination downstream.
