It delivers 70 kA Icu at 415 V AC (IEC 60947-2), putting it in the H breaking-capacity class — enough headroom for most distribution panels where fault levels run 50–65 kA.
The 80 A rating at 50 °C is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping; if your panel ambient runs higher, you derate per the manufacturer's curve — typical rule of thumb is about 1 % per °C above 40 °C, so at 60 °C the effective rating drops to roughly 72 A. The TM-D trip unit gives thermal (L) protection for overloads and magnetic (I) for short-circuits, with fixed magnetic thresholds — no interchangeable trip blocks, so the 80 A frame is the one you spec into the BOM. For 480 V systems the Icu drops to 50 kA, and at 690 V it's 10 kA — so if your service entrance runs at 480 V, verify the available fault current stays under 50 kA.
Connection pitch is 35 mm, front-connect both sides. Rated IP40 (finger-safe front), IK07 impact resistance.
