The Schneider Electric C11F4TM040L is a ComPacT NSXm 63F frame moulded-case circuit breaker rated 40 A at 40 °C with a 4-pole (4P) configuration and a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit.
Trip curve and selectivity
For a 40 A breaker, the magnetic pickup is typically around 10× In (400 A), which gives good selectivity with downstream 10–20 A MCBs in a lighting or small-power sub-panel. Category A utilisation means it is not intended for motor starting duty — use it on distribution feeders, not direct motor loads.
Mounts on a backplate (not DIN rail) in horizontal or vertical orientation, flat on the back. Front-connect terminals on both line and load sides — no rear-access required. The Everlink lug terminals accept 2.5…95 mm² rigid or stranded aluminium/copper, or 2.5…70 mm² flexible copper. With spreaders, the connection pitch is 35 mm; without spreaders, 27 mm. The 12-module 9 mm pitch footprint (108 mm wide, 137 mm high, 80 mm deep) fits standard enclosure cutouts. Neutral is on the left. IP40 front-face protection and IK07 impact resistance suit enclosed panel installations.
