What it is and what it does
The C11N6TM063B is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSXm moulded-case circuit breaker, 4-pole, with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit rated 63 A at 40 °C. It is designed for distribution applications and carries a 50 kA breaking capacity at 415 V AC (performance level N). That rating means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 50 kA without welding or rupturing — critical for panel coordination where the upstream transformer can deliver high short-circuit current.
Key ratings and what they mean for fit
Rated 63 A at 40 °C ambient. If your panel ambient runs higher, derate per the thermal curve — the TM-D trip unit is temperature-sensitive. The 50 kA at 415 V AC SCCR is the maximum fault it can clear; verify that your available fault current at the breaker's location does not exceed that figure. The 4-pole version (4P) switches all three phases plus neutral, with the neutral on the left. Suitability for isolation is confirmed per IEC 60947-2, so it can be used as a disconnecting means in the panel. Mechanical durability is 20,000 cycles; electrical durability varies with load — 20,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 10,000 cycles at full rated current. That is typical for a distribution breaker; not intended for frequent switching duty like a contactor.
Mounting and integration
Mounts on a backplate (not DIN rail), in horizontal or vertical orientation, flat on the back. The 9 mm pitch footprint is 12 modules wide — 108 mm width, 137 mm height, 80 mm depth. Connection is front-facing via compression lugs or busbars; pitch is 35 mm with spreaders, 27 mm without. IP40 front face, IK07 impact resistance. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60664-1 means it is rated for industrial environments with conductive pollution.
