MCCB for distribution panels — 100 A, 4-pole, thermal-magnetic
The Schneider Electric C11N6TM100L is a ComPacT NSXm 100 A moulded-case circuit breaker with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit, 4 poles, and a 50 kA interrupting rating at 415 V AC (N performance level). It's a current-production distribution breaker built to EN/IEC 60947-2, suitable for isolation per that standard.
The TM-D trip unit combines a thermal bimetal for overload protection (inverse-time, I²t) and a magnetic solenoid for short-circuit protection (instantaneous). The 4-pole version (3 phases + switched neutral) is common for three-phase distribution where the neutral needs isolation or protection.
Mounting and wiring in the enclosure
The 108 mm width (12 x 9 mm pitches) and 137 mm height fit standard distribution board cutouts. Front-connect terminals top and bottom use Everlink lugs: accepts 2.5–95 mm² rigid or stranded aluminium/copper, or 2.5–70 mm² flexible copper. Neutral is on the left. The toggle control gives clear visual indication of trip status, and a green flag signals when auxiliary contacts are present.
