What the ratings mean for fit
The C12H6TM160B is a 160 A, 4-pole ComPacT NSXm moulded-case circuit breaker with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. The 160 A rating at 40 °C is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping — size the upstream conductor and busbar for that ampacity. The H performance level means it interrupts 70 kA at 415 V AC, which covers most industrial distribution panels fed by a transformer of that voltage class. The 4P configuration switches all four poles (–L3 + N), with the neutral on the left; the neutral is switched but not protected by the TM-D trip. Category A utilisation (per IEC 60947-2) means it is not intended for motor starting or frequent switching — it is a distribution breaker, not a motor-circuit protector.
