The C25H4TM160 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX250H moulded-case circuit breaker, 4-pole, fitted with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit rated 160 A at 40 °C. It's the distribution-grade workhorse for a panel that needs an isolation-capable, high-breaking-capacity MCCB in a compact footprint — 140 mm wide, 161 mm tall, 86 mm deep, backplate-mounted, front-connected top and bottom.
This breaker carries a 100 kA Icu at 240 V AC, 70 kA at 415 V, and 65 kA at 480 V (UL 60947-4-1). At 415 V, the 70 kA figure is the one most European panel builders will coordinate against; the 65 kA at 480 V covers North American 480Y/277 V services. The 10 kA at 690 V is a reminder that this is a 600 V max device — don't push it above that.
The TM-D trip unit provides thermal overload protection (L) and magnetic short-circuit protection (I). The thermal element tracks the 160 A rating at 40 °C; the magnetic pickup is fixed and non-adjustable on this thermal-magnetic variant. Neutral protection is set to 1 x Ir (4D), meaning the 4-pole breaker protects the neutral at the same level as the phases — standard for a fully rated 4P distribution breaker.
Front-connected top and bottom makes for clean busbar runs and accessible lug torque checks during commissioning. IP40 enclosure, IK07 impact rating: fine for a dry indoor switchboard, not for washdown areas.
