The C25R45E100 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX250R moulded-case circuit breaker with a MicroLogic 5.2 E electronic trip unit, rated 100 A at 40 °C. The 4P (four-pole) configuration with neutral on the left handles three-phase plus neutral distribution, common in panelboard feeds. Backplate mounting, 161 mm high by 140 mm wide by 86 mm deep — fits standard ComPacT NSX cutouts.
Trip unit and protection logic
The MicroLogic 5.2 E trip unit provides L (long-time overload), S (short-time short-circuit), and I (instantaneous short-circuit) protection curves. Electronic trip means adjustable settings via the LCD display — no thermal bimetal to drift. The energy meter function logs power quality, time-stamped events, demand current, and maintenance indicators — useful for downstream power monitoring without a separate meter.
Integration notes
Mounts flat on the backplate in horizontal or vertical orientation. Front connections top and bottom simplify busbar or cable routing in a panel. The 35 mm connection pitch matches standard ComPacT NSX accessories. Pollution degree 3 (IEC 60664-1) means it's rated for conductive pollution typical in industrial control panels — no additional conformal coating needed for most environments. IK07 impact rating covers accidental tool drops during commissioning.
Electrical durability at 440 V In (full rated current) is 10,000 cycles; at 440 V In/2 it doubles to 20,000 cycles. At 690 V In/2 it's 10,000 cycles; at 690 V In it's 5,000 cycles. For a distribution breaker seeing infrequent switching (not motor-starting duty), these numbers are well above typical panel life. Category A utilisation means it's not intended for frequent on-load switching of individual loads — it's a distribution breaker, not a motor-starter substitute.
