What this breaker delivers
The Schneider Electric EZC250H44080 is a 4-pole EasyPact EZC250H moulded-case circuit breaker rated 80 A at 40 °C, with a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. It carries an 85 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds in distribution panels — and still delivers 36 kA at 380–415 V AC and 25 kA at 440 V AC. The 80 A rating at 50 °C tells you the breaker is thermally compensated for elevated panel ambient; if your enclosure runs cooler, the continuous current can be pushed to the 40 °C rating. The 690 V rated insulation voltage and 550 V AC / 250 V DC operational voltage cover most industrial distribution voltages up to 480/277 V systems, plus DC bus applications.
Fixed backplate mounting with front-facing connections — both line and load sides terminate on the same plane, which simplifies bus-bar layout and gland-plate planning. Connection pitch is 35 mm, matching common bus-bar spacing. IP20 finger-safe terminals and IK07 impact resistance mean the breaker can be mounted in a lockable enclosure without additional shrouding for routine touch protection.
Protection and compliance
Compliance covers EN/IEC 60947-1, EN/IEC 60947-2, JIS C8201-2-2, and GB/T 14048.2 — the key standards for acceptance in European, Japanese, and Chinese installations. No earth-leakage or neutral protection built in; those functions require an external module or a different variant.
