It belongs to the EasyPact EZC250H series, a compact distribution breaker line for commercial and light industrial panelboards. The H breaking-capacity code means it handles 85 kA Icu at 220–240 V AC — enough for high-fault service-entrance positions — and still delivers 10 kA Icu at 550 V AC, so it covers 480Y/277 V distribution without a current-limiting fuse upstream.
The TM-D trip unit gives you fixed thermal (overload) and magnetic (short-circuit) protection curves, no interchangeable rating plugs. At 100 A and 40 °C ambient, it carries the full rated current; the 50 °C rating is the same 100 A, so no derating is needed in a warm enclosure. At 480 V (380–415 V class), the 36 kA Icu still covers most commercial services. DC ratings are 30 kA Icu at 125 V DC (single-pole) and 30 kA Icu at 250 V DC (two poles in series) — useful for battery-bank or UPS distribution, but note the 2-pole series connection requirement for 250 V DC.
Physical integration and environment
Fixed mounting on a backplate, front-connected both line and load sides. IP20 finger-safe terminals and IK07 impact resistance mean it is protected against accidental contact and light mechanical shock inside the panel.
No earth-leakage protection built in — that is a separate module if needed.
