The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides overload protection via a bimetal element and short-circuit protection via a magnetic coil set to trip at 700 A. Phase-failure sensitivity is built in per IEC 60947-4-1, so it catches a lost phase before the motor overheats. Breaking capacity is 100 kA Icu at 230/240 V, 50 kA at 400/415 V, and 12 kA at 500 V — all per IEC 60947-2. For a 50 A motor circuit on a 400 V supply with a 50 kA SCCR panel, this breaker clears the fault cleanly.
The 55 mm width and 136 mm depth fit standard enclosure layouts; connection pitch is 17.5 mm without spreaders. Tightening torque on lugs/ring terminals is 6 N·m. Rated for horizontal or vertical mounting, and the enclosure carries IK09 impact protection and IP20 finger-safe terminals. Ambient storage range is -40 to 80 °C.
Motor power and duty ratings
Motor power ratings: 22 kW at 400/415 V AC, 30 kW at 500 V, and 45 kW at 690 V — all 50/60 Hz. The utilisation category is AC-3 per IEC 60947-4-1, which means it's rated for switching squirrel-cage motors: starting, stopping, and running at full load. Category A per IEC 60947-2 applies for short-circuit performance. Electrical durability is 50,000 cycles at AC-3, 415 V, at rated current. Mechanical durability matches at 50,000 cycles. Power dissipation per pole is 8 W, so total heat in the enclosure is 24 W at full load.
