This box PC serves as a headless or display-connected compute node in the Harmony iPC ecosystem, designed to run EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert, EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert, or Node-RED with system nodes. The 8 GB DDR3 RAM (internal, not expandable) sets the upper bound for runtime memory — adequate for single-machine HMI/SCADA applications but not for multi-machine aggregation or heavy data logging. The unit provides one mini PCI Express full-size slot with an optional interface plate and one M.2 SSD slot plus one internal SATA HDD/SSD slot (requires adapter HMIYBADHDDBMO1). A watchdog timer configurable from 1 to 255 ms is built in. The fanless cooling and conformal-coated enclosure suit it for environments where dust or vibration rules out fan-cooled PCs. Electrical connections include a 1-way screw terminal for ground at the bottom and a 3-way SMA connector at the top. The display output supports up to 3200 x 2000 pixels at 60 Hz via the compatible IDisplay Modular Display (HMIDM series).
Applications
Harmony iPC modular box PCs of this class are deployed as the compute core for industrial HMI/SCADA systems in machine building, packaging lines, material handling, and process skids. They run the operator interface and supervisory logic, communicating with PLCs and drives over Ethernet or serial fieldbuses. The fanless, conformal-coated design also suits food-and-beverage or pharmaceutical environments where washdown or airborne particulates are present.
