Ratings and application
The LP2K1201GD3 is a TeSys K reversing contactor, 3P, rated AC-3 at 12 A up to 440 V, with a 125 V DC coil and one NC auxiliary contact. The AC-3 rating governs motor switching under full load — the 12 A figure is the current it can make and break across the rated voltage range, so it matches a 3-pole reversing starter for a motor drawing up to that line current. Preassembled with the reversing power busbar, so the mechanical interlock and bus connections are factory-set — no field assembly of the reversing pair. Utilisation categories cover AC-1 (resistive loads), AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors: starting, switching off running motors), and AC-4 (plugging, inching). The AC-4 rating is the harder duty cycle — if the application requires frequent reversing or jogging, that's the rating to size against, not the AC-3 figure.
Mechanical robustness
Rated for 15 Gn shocks on Z axis (contactor closed) and 10 Gn (opened) per IEC 60068-2-27. Vibration resistance: 4 Gn closed, 2 Gn opened across 5-300 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. These figures matter for applications mounted on machinery or in mobile equipment where shock and vibration are present — the contactor holds its state without chatter under those conditions.
