What This Coil Is For
The LX1G4SBEEA is the replacement coil for a Schneider TeSys 4-pole contactor. It pulls in on 24 to 48 V AC/DC, and the built-in bidirectional peak limiting handles the snubbing itself — you don't need an external R-C or varistor across the coil. Rated for 5 million mechanical cycles, and it'll cycle up to 600 times a minute at 140 °F (60 °C) ambient. That's a lot of opening and closing before the coil gives up. Opening time runs 20 to 35 ms, closing 40 to 55 ms — consistent enough for sequence timing on a motor starter or reversing circuit.
Compliance is covered: the coil meets EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1A, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. Pollution degree 3 for dirty panels, and it holds a SEMI F47 immunity rating for voltage dips – good for semiconductor fab gear.
Physical footprint: 6.6 in high, 7.3 in wide, 3.7 in deep – it sits where the TeSys frame expects it. AWG 26 to 12 for solid, AWG 24 to 14 for flexible with ferrule. Operating temperature range is -13 to 140 °F (-25 to 60 °C); storage down to -76 °F (-60 °C). If you're mounting it up high where the ambient creeps near 158 °F (70 °C), the coil can still hold at rated control voltage.
