Passive harmonic filter for Altivar drives — 180 A, 400 V
The Schneider VW3A4610 is a passive filter designed to reduce current harmonics from Altivar variable speed drives. It is rated 180 A continuous at 400 V +/- 10 % three-phase, and delivers a THDI of 10 % when paired with an ATV61HC11N4 or ATV71HC11N4 motor drive at 110 kW / 150 hp. Efficiency runs at 98 %, with power factor correction that varies by load: unity (1) at 150 % of line current, 0.99 at full load, and 0.85 at 75 % load. Maximum peak current handling is 1.5 times nominal.
Installation and environmental limits
Electrical connection uses bare wires with 12.5 mm diameter. One filter per drive is required for the listed ATV61 and ATV71 models. Ambient operating range is 5 to 40 °C without derating; from 40 to 55 °C derate current by 3 % per °C. Above 1000 m altitude, derate an additional 5 % per 1000 m. Storage temperature spans -25 to 55 °C with 5 to 85 % relative humidity, non-condensing.
The VW3A4610 is classified as obsolete by Schneider Electric.
