The VW3A46139 is a passive filter that reduces current harmonics on the input side of Schneider Altivar variable speed drives. It fits one per drive for Altivar ATV61W, ATV61H, ATV71H, ATV71P, ATV71W, ATV630, ATV650, ATV930, and ATV950 drives in the 0.75 kW to 3 kW motor power range. Rated at 6 A input and 6.2 A output, it operates on a 480 V ±10 % three-phase supply at 60 Hz ±2 %. The filter achieves a THDI of 10 % for the ATV61W series and 16 % for the ATV61H, ATV71H, ATV71P, and ATV71W series. Efficiency is 98 %, with thermal losses of 88 W. The power factor correction curve is non-linear: cos φ is 1 at 150 % of line current, 0.99 at 100 %, and 0.85 at 75 % — so the filter maintains near-unity power factor at full load but drops off at lighter loads, which is typical for a passive design.
For replacement on an existing drive installation, match the physical fit and electrical ratings (6 A, 480 V, 60 Hz, one-per-drive). The filter has IP20 base rating with IP55 when enclosure-mounted.
Terminals accept 0.5 to 10 mm² wire, plus A and B terminals for 2.5 mm². Above 1000 m altitude, derate 5 % per 1000 m. Vibration resistance is 2 mm peak-to-peak from 5 to 13.2 Hz and 0.7 gn from 13.2 to 150 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. Relative humidity tolerance is 5 to 85 % without condensation. The filter is Class F insulated.
